We received some exciting news in the midst of Vanity Fairs photo release this morning. Rumors were confirmed that producer Jon Watts of Tom Hollands Spider-Man fame has been tasked to lead a new Star Wars series currently in development! The code name for the show is Grammar Rodeo, a reference to an episode of The Simpsons.
The show takes place during the postReturn of the Jedi reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as The Mandalorian, but its plot remains a secret. Its created and executive-produced by director Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford, who made Spider-Man: Homecoming for Marvel.
“Inside Lucasfilm, the show is being described as a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the 80s.”
We will keep an eye on Star Wars Celebration Anaheim for more information concerning this new chapter in the galaxy far far away!
